The First African Adventure
Chobe, Hwange and Victoria Falls: river, bush and one of the wonders of the world, without long days on the road.

- Countries
- Botswana, Zimbabwe
- Best for
- First-time visitors, couples, friends
- Best time
- June to October
- Getting around
- Road transfer and light-aircraft flights
The route
- Nights 1–3
Chobe
Botswana
Fly into Kasane via Johannesburg. Boat safaris at water level among the elephant herds, and game drives along the riverfront.
- Nights 4–7
Hwange National Park
Zimbabwe
Cross into Zimbabwe and take a short light-aircraft flight into Hwange instead of the four-hour road. Waterholes, open plains and, with luck, painted dogs.
- Nights 8–10
Victoria Falls
Zimbabwe
A guided walk along the Falls, a Zambezi sunset cruise, and time to rest and shop before the flight home.
Make it longer: Add four nights in the Lower Zambezi or South Luangwa in Zambia, or Mana Pools in Zimbabwe.
A sample route to tailor, not a fixed departure. Lodges, flights and activities are confirmed when we plan your trip.
